The Product Category Fields used in Campaign criteria are not pulled from the list of Product Categories that you regularly update in the Settings Tab.
For Campaigns, there are two Objects which also have Product Category Fields, which may need to be updated, depending on the Campaign Criteria you are trying to use:
- Lead Source - Interested In
- Previous Appointment - Product Category
NOTE: If you find that you have numerous Inactive Values in the Lead Source Interested In field, see also: Too Many Product Categories being inserted by eLead Providers
Edit Values in the Lead Source - Interested In field
- Navigate to Setup
- In the Create menu, choose Objects
- Choose the Lead Source object
- Scroll down to the section 'Custom Fields and Relationships' and click on 'Interested In'
- From the Interested In (managed) page, scroll down to the Values section:

- Click 'New' to add Product Categories that match what you have in the Settings Tab. Deactivate any values you do not use. (Do not delete, only deactivate).
- Once you add them here, they will be available to use as Filter Criteria on the Campaign Edit screen for 'Lead Source' object criteria!
Edit Values in the Previous Appointment - Product Category field
- Navigate to Setup
- In the Create menu, choose Objects
- Choose the Appointment object
- Scroll down to the section 'Custom Fields and Relationships' and click on 'Product Category'
- From the Product Category (managed) page, scroll down to the Values section:

- Click 'New' to add Product Categories that match what you have in the Settings Tab. Deactivate any values you do not use. (Do not delete, only deactivate).
- Once you add them here, they will be available to use as Filter Criteria on the Campaign Edit screen for 'Previous Appointment' Object criteria:
