This issue is resolved by navigating to Android Settings > Apps > Uber > Set as Default > Go to Supported URLs > and setting it to "Always Ask"
Find Uber in your Android Apps list
Navigate to the App Settings section. Tap on "Set as Default"
Tap on "Go to supported URLs"
Tap on "Always ask"
