A Data Export can be scheduled on a weekly or monthly basis, depending on your edition, for Production orgs only (Data Export is not supported/functional in sandboxes).
If the User that scheduled the Data Export is deactivated, the Data Export will fail and an email will be sent to all active Users with the 'Modify All Data' permission.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, delete the existing Data Export job and schedule a new export with a new running user:
Permissions required:
- Modify All Data
- Weekly Data Export
Replace the running user for Data Export
In Salesforce Classic
1. Click Setup.
2. Enter Scheduled Jobs in Quick Find.
3. Click Scheduled Jobs.
4. Click Del next to Data Export in the Job Name column
5. Schedule a new export using Data Export - Backup Data as a guide.
In Lightning Experience
1. Click the gear icon.
2. Click Setup.
3. Enter Scheduled Jobs in Quick Find.
4. Click Scheduled Jobs.
5. Click Del next to Data Export in the Job Name column.
6. Schedule a new export using Data Export - Backup Data as a guide.
Notes:
- You will not see the new running user's name displayed until the new scheduled export enters the queue and the new request is processed.
- Users with the 'Weekly Export' permission can view all exported data and all custom objects and fields in the Export Service page. This permission is granted by default only to the system administrator profile because it enables wide visibility.
- If the organization has more than one user with the same email address that meets the above criteria, the failure email will only be sent to that address once.
