Similar to how you can 'freeze panes' while using excel, you can also enable a setting in your org to ensure that you can keep column heading in view while scrolling down lengthy reports.
Note: this setting is only available for summary, tabular, and matrix reports.
To enable this option:
- Navigate to Setup > Reports and Dashboards Settings
- Check the 'Enable Floating Report Headers' option is checked, and Save
To review or utilize the function, open a long report. Scroll down on the page, and notice a 'down arrow' appears at the top of browser page:
Click the down arrow, and it will expand into the column headings.
Just as with regular columns, you can click on these headers to sort and re-organize your information in ascending or descending order while viewing the report.
