When notifying your Sales Reps of their Appointment, the email notification includes a Calendar .ics file. An .ics File allows the email recipient to add the Calendar Event to their personal Calendar (whether using an Outlook, Google or other Calendar provider). Although the email notification might include an .ics File, this does not insure the Calendar Event will automatically be added to a third party calendar.
Within a third-party Calendar tool, your Sales Rep's can select to auto-accept Calendar Event invitations from a specific email or provider. If you are having difficulty auto-accepting Calendar Event invitations, contact the Calendar provider.
Why include .ics File when sending Email notifications to Prospects?
Some Appointment Scheduling teams like to include in their Appointment script that "you'll receive an Email from us with a Calendar invitation. You can accept that and it will be added to your personal Calendar." This gives the Prospect an automatic reminder on their personal calendar.
