In the example below there are eLeads coming in with a variety of Interests (Product Categories) that do not match the values in our system. The system will automatically create the Lead Source with whatever Product Category/Interest has come from the eLead.
Resolution:
Contact the Lead Provider and request that they change the Values of the Product Categories they are sending into the system. improveit 360 is not designed to scrub or clean-up data. The system accepts the data being sent by the Lead Provider, therefore the only permanent solution is to have the Lead Provider send in data that is formatted correctly/aligning with your company's business.
How do we change the Product Category values that have already been inserted?
A Custom Process is needed on the Lead Source record. If you are unfamiliar with Process Builder or creating custom Processes, contact our Support team. For a fee, our team can build a custom Process in your system.
Important Notes:
The values of each Interest must be defined in the Process as an exact Text string formula, matching all the values that need to be replaced. For example, if trying to change a value of "WALK_IN_TUBS" to a value of "Bathrooms" you will need to use an operator of "Contains" Formula and insert the exact text value of the Interests/Product Categories that are being inserted by the Lead Provider.
In the Example below, we are changing four unique Values to one Value: "Bathrooms"
Note the OR Filter Logic needed for multiple Product Categories.
Use a Field Update Action to change the Value to "Bathrooms"
Activate the Process
Updating Lead Source records:
Editing Lead Source records from the Lead Sources Tab will trigger the Process to update the Values. This can be easily accomplished 200 records at a time, using a List View:
