This article will detail a workaround for logging in through the Salesforce Authenticator app, if your login authentication fails.
When attempting to log in, you may run into an error of Problem Approving Your Request. Select the Use a Different Verification Method link to continue:
This should bring you to a page with two options. You'll want to select the Use a code from an authenticator app one:
This will prompt a Verify Your Identity page, where you'll be asked to provide a 6 digit code.
Using the Salesforce Authenticator app, find the latest 6 digit code provided, and enter back into the Verify Your identity code box.

What if I don't have the option to choose a different verification method?
Your Admin User can send a Temporary Verification Code to allow you a one-time login bypassing the Salesforce Authenticator.
Navigate to Setup > Users > select the User > Temporary Verification Code (Expires in 1 to 24 Hours)
Click Generate
You Administrator can also disconnect the Salesforce Authenticator from your User, allowing you to setup the Authenticator again using the two-word phrase.
