This feature is available only in the Products and Materials Add-On package, or the Supportworks package (v2.4 and higher) of improveit 360. If you are interested in upgrading your system to take advantage of the Products and Materials features, open a Ticket with our Support team!
From the Materials related list on the Project page, a new button, Related Materials PDF Project allows your Users to download a predefined formatted document showing all materials needed for the Project.
From the Project page, scroll down to the Materials related list. Click the Related Materials PDF Project button:
The system will generate a Materials List PDF document that looks like the example below.
NOTE: You cannot customize this document.
If you do not see the "Related Materials PDF Project" button from the Materials related list on the Project page, follow the instructions below to add this button to your Project page.
Navigate to Setup
Choose the Create > Objects menu
Select the Project object
Hover over the Page Layout related list and click Page Layout Assignments
This will show you which page layout is being used be each of your User's Profiles.
Click on the Page Layout used by all your Users, in this example "Project 14"
Scroll down to the Materials related list and click the wrench icon to Edit the Related List properties
Here you can choose which Fields are visible in the Related List, and select which Buttons appear on the Related List. Click the + to expand the Buttons menu:
Here you will use the Add arrow to move the "Related Materials PDF Project" button to the Selected Buttons column. Then click OK
Next, Save the changes to the Page Layout:
You're all done! Now, look up a Project with Materials and test the new button!
Navigate to a Project and click the "Related Materials PDF Project" button to generate the Materials List!
